Britney Spears Controversy



Britney Jean Spears, well known as Britney Spears was raised and born at Kentwood, Louisiana, USA on December 2, 1981. She was a former member of Mickey Mouse Club along with Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.

In 1998, her debut single album “Baby one More time” became Billboard's top picked and it sold nine million copies worldwide and a certified Diamond in the US. Spears won four Billboard Music Awards, including Artist's of the Year for the Album “Baby One More Time”. She received two nominations in Grammy Awards on 2000 for the categories Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

On 2000, she released her second album “Oops!..I Did It Again” and it sells 1, 319, 193 units for the first week of sales. It was the highest album sales in debut week by an any solo artists. It reached the Diamond Certification with a 10 million copies sold in the US. Her second album got two more Billboard Music Awards. The second album was categorize as Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Female Pop Vocal Perfomance on Grammy Awards. She often labeled as The Pop Pricess.
On January 3, 2004 Britney got married to her childhood friend Jason Alexander at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, but quickly had it annulled after 55 hours. For the second time Britney walked down the aisle to her former backup dancer Kevin Federline and have a two wonderful sons namely Sean Preston and Jaden James Federline. Her second marriage to Federline was not successful. On November 7, 2006 Britney filed a divorce from Kevin Federlinefor citing irreconcilable differences and asking for the child custody. Their divorce was finalized on July 30, 2007.

2007 was a controversial year for Britney. She shaved her hair a get bald and tattooed. Britney lost the custody of their children for not having a valid driver's license and failing to make a random alcohol and drug tests. She was ordered to undergo a random drug and alcohol tests and to attend a parenting counseling. Former couple continued to share the joint custody of their children on a conditional basis. She is battling now for the custody of their children
